Brian McMahon moved to Gabriola in 2018, and has enjoyed the cycling, kayaking, and trail walking opportunities that this wonderful island offers. Connections with the Gabriola musical scene began in 2019, and Brian now finds himself very busy collaborating with many of the amazing musicians living here. Brian is very grateful to Gabriola Live and the Gabriola Arts Council for the opportunity to perform with Leah and Frank.
Leah Hokanson has been making music on Gabriola Island since 2002. Trained as a classical pianist, she has explored a variety of styles and genres, as well as improvisation. She has recorded two albums of original songs (Facets and Diamond Chants: The Heart) and most recently an EP of original songs entitled Portals. Her other musical collaborations include Anthelia (with Tina Jones) and Trio Sayso (with Allannah Dow and Tina Jones).
